Wow, what an amazing two weeks, woke up on the first morning to amazing views of the valley, no wonder you referred to it as the ‘Lake District’ without the lakes! The hills merge into mountains and the mountains merge into each other as far as the eye could see. The jingle of goat bells was the only sound that first morning as the goats followed their herder in his new 4 x 4. Now that sums up the rural face of Andalusia – traditional and yet slowly pulling itself into the 21st century.

We really loved the ‘get-a-away-from-it-all’ nature of the holiday. At night there was something magical about sitting, glass of wine in hand gazing at the stars.

The barbeque area was idea for ‘living outdoors’ and the large parasol provided some welcome shelter from the midday sun.

El Torcal is a must for any visitor – the view from the top, of Malaga, Casabermeja, and Villanueva traces the journey from airport! Antequera with its Moorish castle and 24 churches is ideal for shopping and sightseeing. And just around the corner from Antequera is the Wolf Park, well worth a visit at any time, but even better to go to the barbeque and watch Daniel, the owner, howl with the wolves!

Pastelero is a place I recommend to anyone, but I’m not going to shout too loud, because the more people that come to see it the more they will want to stay. Still as long as Just what we were looking for, peace, quiet, comfortable surroundings, sun & lots of wine. Lots of interesting trips [try El Torcal early in the morning]. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay in Casita Higuera enormously. We hebben een week geneldig genoten van casita higuera. from here we visited our terasses in the sun and the bigger places like Ronda, Cordoba and Granada. We ontbeten vrynel altyd op hrt terras en brachten bezoeken aan Ronda, Cordoba and Granada. It was great to find the fridge with so many first needs, the birds and all the flowers. We did not have time to read books or find dutch newspapers but on our next stay we will do these things. Thank you so much Bryan and Jennifer, we loved our stay very much

The weather was beautiful for all of our stay. This is our favourite place to come & relax & get away from our hectic life. we recommend Bar Godoy for its Tapas in Villaneuava. As for the view well it speaks for itself.

We spent one week at Casita Higuera & it was really relaxing. You can feel very close to the nature, especially in the morning when you wake up to the birds & the cockerels. Its a really great place, especially for people like us who work 24/7. You can simply come here & forget about everything.

After a rainy summer in England Casita Higuera was a perfect place to relax & soak up some lovely spanish winter sunshine. It was a perfect little hideaway with everthing you need. We loved climbing in “El Torcal” national park & Xebar in Concepcion will put on a vegeterian feast.

We loved 11 days here in Casita Higuera, the find of the house was a little difficult. Our wish was fulfilled for many impressions of the culture & history & for relaxation. We went by car through wonderfull valleys, Malaga, Cordoba, Seville & Ronda are interesting towns with a Moorish history with tolerence of religions for many centuries. We enjoyed an early spring with many sun. The cottage was ideal. We say many thanks for our hosts Jen & Bryan.

Dear Bryan and Jenny,
Thanks for the brilliant time we had at Casita Higuera. We knew that we were coming to a lovely view, but, we couldn't  believe how spectacular it was.The wonderful views, the fine accommodation, the hospitality from you both and,  of course, the welcoming bars in the village. We didn't have to go far to see good things. Antiquera was magnificent, El Chorro was great, El Torcal was not to be missed. We have gone home with such wonderful memories of Casita Hiquera. Please let us come again!!!!!

Dear Brian, Dear Jennifer,
We like to thank you for staying for 11 days at Casita Higuera. We left approx. at 7:10h and arrived at the airport, depending on a lot of traffic, at 8:20h. No difficulties with the car return and the flight, we arrived in Dortmund approximately 10 minutes later than proposed.
We spent beautiful days in the area around Malaga, if we have the possiblity for a weekend we will give you a ring or send an Email.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards and greetings from Sigrid
Wolfgang
